Website Information:
This site first appeared on the 'Net in July 1999 as pages on the WebTV Members Community Section. The site quickly outgrew that service, moving to GeoCities in August 1999. In August 2002, the site expanded to include a second GeoCities Homestead when the "PatsyNews" section from Lisa Flood's Patsified! was merged into the site. That move prompted me to take the giant leap and purchase my own domain in April 2003. Work began on an overhaul of the existing pages to give them a uniform appearance. The result is the site you are visiting today, launched on March 5, 2004.

The domain patsyclinecentral.com was added to the site in November 2008. On March 5, 2009, Lisa Flood's Patsified! site was merged into the site. The domain patsified.com was redirected to this site as part of the merger. "SueBee's Kitchen," formerly hosted by the now closed GeoCities, has been merged into the site as well. Content from both sites will be added over the coming months.

You will notice some overlap of items between this and other Patsy Cline sites. It is not my intention to imitate or compete with other Patsy Cline webmasters. When dealing with a single subject, much of the same territory will get covered. It is our goal to give visitors as complete and accurate a portrait of Patsy Cline as possible. We are grateful to Patsy's family for the assistance they continually provide.

Personal Information:
I get the occasional inquiry from those who want to know a little more about me. So, who is Bill Cox? Well. . .

I'm a lifelong resident of the beautiful state of Tennessee, Single, and currently employed by a major health care organization. I love History, enjoy reading, and have a soft spot for Disney and the Looney Tunes. I also have an interest in antique cars, specifically "Orphans" (makes that are no longer manufactured). The family collection includes three 1950's era Hudsons. What's a Hudson? Did You See "Driving Miss Daisy"? Remember "Doc Hudson" from "Cars"? Click here or here to learn more.

Then there's music, which is probably my greatest passion. I'm an avid collector, and have an extensive assortment of LP's, 45's, Cassettes and CDs. I like Classic Country, some Contemporary Country, a little Bluegrass, Big Band, Pop Hits from the '40's, '50's and '60's, a dash of Disco and a touch of Soul.

A quick browse through my music collection will find such artists as Loretta Lynn, Jim Reeves, Brenda Lee, George Morgan, Tammy Wynette, Ray Price, Jamey Ryan, Conway Twitty, Amber Digby, The Mamas & The Papas, Mahalia Jackson, Roger Whittaker, Aretha Franklin, Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole.

Without question, Patsy Cline is my all-time favorite artist. Like many fans, I was introduced to Patsy's music by my parents. When I was about Four, my Mom purchased copies of the "Sentimentally Yours" and "Greatest Hits" albums, and I remember becoming enchanted by this incredible voice when those records were played. Of course, a 4-year old can't begin to grasp the subjects Patsy sings about. Yet, she was able to grab my attention and hold it. That's special. That's magic. Truly, Virginia Hensley possessed an incredible gift. I wish I could have had the opportunity to meet her.

This website is just a small token of the love and appreciation I have for Patsy Cline. For the enjoyment, and the memories, her music has given. Thanks to Patsy, and the Internet, I've made some incredible friends.

Come On In, Sit Right Down, and Make Yourself At Home.
